What is homoeopathy?

Homoeopathy is natural, gentle and chemicals free symptomatic treatment tailored to each individual.

Homoeopathy or homeopathy?

The word homœopathy was first used by Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). He was a German physician               and chemist, and the founder of this system of medicine.

The word homoeopathy originates from the Greek words hómoiosὅμοιος  meaning "like" (similar),                         and páthos - πάθος  meaning "suffering".

In more recent times, the origins of the word are gradually being omitted and the spelling is often simplified         to homeopathy.

The foundations of homœopathic philosophy is the "Law of Similars". This principle is based on a belief (also held by the ancient Greeks and Romans) that substances that can produce symptoms in a healthy individual can be used to treat similar symptoms in a sick person.

What is homoeopathy good for?

Once I was told that the doctor treats the patient, but nature heals the patient. Homoeopathy is here for anybody who asks for it. Its aim is to restore so called vital force of an individual so the health can be in balance again.

Think of yourself as of a tree. A seed is planted to a soil and once it starts growing you can see different changes. If there was a bad environmental influence, the tree growth would be somewhat affected. If there was a good influence, the tree would thrive. It is the same with humans. Our "growth" depends on different factors like diet, environment, hereditory factors, diseases we come across in our life, injuries, etc. To keep "growing" physically as well as mentally, we should take care of our health as much as possible. In instances, where we cannot, there is homoeopathy at hand that helps to restore our health.

I have too many issues.           Is homoeopathy for me?

Of course. Although, you should understand that even homoeopathy has its own limits. For example, if you damage your nerves, homoeopathy cannot mend them. More health issues also do not mean your treatment will necessarily take longer time.

What can I expect from my consultation?

The initial consultation will take approx. 90 min. During this time, you will be asked to disclose the nature of your complaint/s as well as your history of any previous illnesses, hereditory factors and/or present conventional treatment you might be undertaking. The conversation stays only between us. I will be taking notes which will be available to you upon request. Based on the information you provide to me, I would be able to prescribe the correct remedy for your complaint/s.
